Pyros wasnt sure, would she understand that he killed a man for his history or would she simply think he was a murderer who killed someone because of a slap? "well, it starts a while back, i was living with my mother, step-fathers and step-brothers... my step father would often come back from work or somewhere else and would take out his anger on me... One day i had enough, he came in the door and slapped me, this was when i turned around and shouted back at him... i dont even remember the exact words anymore... something... it angered him, he came back and wanted to punch me when my shield came up cutting his arm off... from what i can tell my power was discovered through fear... anyway, he then came at me again, i tried to get the field up, it wouldnt come up... but then exactly when it needed to, the field came up and he struck against it where he was sent out the window and due to glass cuts and the falling on his back he ended up dead..." Pyros replied. "i couldnt bare to stay anymore... i knew my brothers wouldnt understand..." Pyros added.

She was silent for a minute or two, thinking about his story. "It was not your fault, anyone with a gift should understand that," she said finally as a way to show that she didn't think him a murderer.

Pyros wasnt sure whether she was saying this to cover up her fear or to make him feel better or what motives she had of saying it, all he knew is he didnt want to ruin the best time he was having at the school with a murder story. "so what about you, how did you figure out your powers and everything?" Pyros asked trying to get away from the subject.

"I started hearing the animal voices, I thought I was going crazy. I made the mistake of telling my parents about the voices and they looked into putting my in a mental institute. Ironically I ended up in an 'institute' anyway, funny when you think about it... Anyway a while after the voices started I had a dream and when I woke up I was a cat. My parents freaked when they found out. They pulled me out of school and didn't let me go near any of my friends or speak to them. Like I had a disease that they didn't want me to spread or something. They said it was 'for my protection' in other words they didn't want people to know their daughter was a freak. I have been here for a couple months and I haven't heard from them since they dropped me off. Me and my cat, they couldn't even let him stay, poor thing, now he has stay with me."

Pyros noticed there was a small river nearby that they were coming to. "should we let the horses take a drink over there?" Pyros asked her indicating the river they were heading towards and was quite visible now.

"Hm, oh yes, I'm sure they would like that wouldn't you sweety," she cooed to Mia. The horse responded that she would and walked over to the stream. Athalia jumped off the back of the horse and jumped into a large tree, perfect for climbing, quickly going to top where she looked out over the forest, her forest. "It is gorgeous up here. The view is incredible. You really must see this, Pyros."

Pyros was never too fond of heights, it wasnt that he was afraid of heights but he just didnt find them as amazing and fun as most people seemed to. Pyros got off the horse and it went over following the other horse. Pyros now looked up and studied the tree, he didnt really find it so interesting but he didnt really have much else to do and why not do it to make her happy when you dont have anything else to do? He sighed and began to scale the tree, he reached the top and looked out at the view.

A butterfly flitted to land on a banch in front of Athalia and she watched it was it went from one spot to another. "I wish I could talk to insects. I bet they would be terrified of us though. Although then I would have to listen to a roach or a spider scream as I squashed it. Ugh! I hate some bugs."

Pyros wondered how someone related to animals could have something against particular animals. Pyros looked down to see the horses were going crazy, why? Pyros climbed down in a rush and went over towards the horses, there was a snake that was up in striking position infront of the 2 horses.

"I can't stand snakes," Athalia said from above as she headed down the tree, trying to convince the snake to leave them alone. She informed the she-snake that they weren't doing anything but the snake was livid and talking so fast that her words slurred making it almost immpossible for Lia to understand her, all she got were snippets like "how dare you" and "if you think you can get away with thisssssss". Besides the snakes rantings was the horses' screamings at Lia to help them, to do something. By the time the girl got to the ground she was getting a headache and didn't know what to do to get either party of animals to calm down.

Pyros wasnt sure what to do, all he knew is the most important thing was to keep the animals safe. When he noticed the snake get into a striking position, he acted accordingly and jumped onto the horses back bringing up his forcefield around them and catching the snake in the forcefield. Pyros let the snake go flying away a few kilometres from their location. "well, atleast everybody is safe..." Pyros replied.

Athalia nodded as she rushed to the horses' heads, she buried her head in each mane in turn, reassuring them through animal speech that everything was alright. The horses quieted in her mind to a startled tone and she could here a faint speech, like that from little hissing creatures. Bending down she examined the ground and found a small hole from which the young snakes' voices could be heard as they wondered where their mother had gone. "Oh dear, no wonder she was so angry. This is her nest. Oh the poor things."
